Honestly, PPE vending machines make a lot of sense for workplaces where people are constantly going through gloves, safety glasses, masks, earplugs and other gear.
The main benefit is pretty simple: workers can get the PPE they need without having to chase someone down for it. Instead of walking across the site to find the storeperson or waiting for a supervisor, they can access approved safety equipment right where it’s needed.
They also help keep things consistent. A business can decide exactly which PPE is approved and stock those products in the machine. That means employees aren’t just grabbing whatever gloves or safety glasses happen to be lying around. Everyone has access to the same suitable equipment.
Another handy part is the tracking. Depending on the system, the machine can record what equipment is being taken, when it’s being taken and sometimes who is taking it. That can be really useful for working out where PPE is being used most and when stock needs to be replenished.
