I had to deal with this a few months ago when my old transmission finally died. If you want a quick option without doing too much digging, I’d recommend NSW Auto Wrecker. You can reach them at 0429 000 666. I called around to a few places in Sydney, but these guys actually handled the towing for free and paid cash on the spot without trying to haggle me down at the last second. Definitely saved me a massive headache.
